Traditionally Longsdon Parish Council has publicised it's meetings and minutes on three notice boards positioned centrally in the village of Longsdon.
With this web site we hope to make it easy to keep an eye on the Council's actions for parishioners who find it difficult to get to the notice boards and for those with busy lifestyles that just don't have the time to visit them.
The meetings of the Council are open to the public and on the agenda of each one is the opportunity for public comment where any issues can be brought to the Council's attention. Why not come along and have your say?
Meetings are held in the Upstairs Room of The Wheel Public House - Leek Road, Longsdon
For visitors from outside our parish we welcome you too.
Longsdon is a small parish located in North Staffordshire between the market town of Leek and the city of Stoke-on-Trent.
With around 460 registered voters the parish has a Council comprising just 7 members. It's assets are few with no buildings to maintain and its only employee is the Clerk.
While we cannot boast vast Council resources we are indeed fortunate to have one of the most beautiful parishes in the region.
The Caldon canal passes through it and it's main trunk road, the A53 gives easy access to local towns and the Peak District National Park which is only minutes away.
