Accessibility Statement for Longsdon Parish Council Website
This accessibility statement applies to Longsdon Parish Council's website www.longsdonpc.org.uk
This website is run by Longsdon Parish Council. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website.
For example, that means you should be able to:
- zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen
- navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
- navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
- listen to most of the website using a screen reader
AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.
How accessible this website is
We know some parts of this website are not fully accessible:
- the text will not reflow in a single column when you change the size of the browser window
- you cannot modify the line height or spacing of text
- some PDF documents are not fully accessible to screen reader software
- very old minutes are images for historical interest and do not have captions
Feedback and contact information
We are a very small Parish Council without premises or staff other than the clerk (part time).
If you need information on this website in a different format like large print or perhaps accessible pdf:
We’ll try to accommodate your request and aim to get back to you in 7 days.
We have no map on our ‘contact us’ page because we have no premises.
Reporting accessibility problems with this website
We’re always looking to improve the accessibility of this website.
We'll do what we can to fix it.
The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is responsible for enforcing the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018 (the ‘accessibility regulations’). We have no offices or full time staff but do publish the date, time and place ( including a map to the venue when physical meetings are viable ) of the Next Meeting.
We welcome the public to our meetings.
